DOG CHALKBOARD

This morning's art turned into a fun project.  I started making a dog's face thinking I was going to make it's body out of old license plates.  But as I was working on the body, I spotted an old craft chalkboard that one of my junk friends gave me the other day.  And the spark went off, and this is what I came up with.
I have a birthday gift that I need to get out in the mail this week, so of course, this is perfect!  I can use the chalkboard for the birthday card!  ta da!!!!!
I love it when an unexpected pleasure pops out.  Another reason why I love starting my day off artfully!
NOW
real work lays ahead of a very busy day!

A HAPPY GROUP

Working on inventory for the upcoming wild women show in June and the local Downtown Farmer's Market
that starts the 3rd week of June.  Trying to be productive with little Emalie is challenging, maninly because I would much rather play with Emalie than anything else.  But luckily, Emalie loves to do art, so we often are
creating in the studio at the same time.
We are going on a little picnic/hike today.  The sun is shining and the sky is deliciously blue and it's fairly warm.  I love the kooky way Emalie is dressed.... I had to suffer through lots of lacey dresses when I was a little girl, so it's great to see her mom dress her fun and comfy.
Life has been busy and fun with my girls here.
And the lilacs are soon to bloom.
Life is just so sweet!

TWEETS CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT

Starting the holiday push for my gifts.  Have some old green and white Colorado license plates that I am going to make a batch of ornaments.  I also decided to find some old used plates on ebay and think I can
get them really reasonable.  Planning on using them for some upcoming assemblage art.  I want to start
pumping my etsy with more small pieces of art!  Have a lot of planned art on my envision board.
As the holiday approaches my days get fuller and I am getting in the spirit.  A little snow early this morning, but the sky is gorgeous blue this morning, and I am ready to jump into a pile of orders.
All is well.  ta
