THE DAY AFTER

phew>
Last night I did the Farmer's Market..  which is great fun!  The set up and breakdown is a lot of work and yesterday I was still exhausted from our big holiday weekend.  We had a BBQ for 25 friends at the house..
Feeling my age today :)  But last night, pulling into the house, I just couldn't think of lifting another thing, so I left all in the back of the car and went to bed!!!  So this morning, I will quickly unload all this.  My new car
is doing great for hauling.  It is a little smaller than the Jimmy, but still does a grand job.

I did manage to do more art yesterday morning before market.
Here is  "Kitchen Goddess"
And I titled this one, "Blackbird Girl".  Her license plate is a 1936 Kansas plate and her feet are old casters.
I really love this one.
I plan to do some work to day, but also have promised myself a nap.
Because  NOW I deserve it!

RED HEADED SPUNKY

Here's my new gal.. I love her face, an old burner with her curly wire hair!  Her eyes are old bottle caps
with old white button eyes.  The license plate body with fun curly stick legs and old rusty chains for arms.
More art for the upcoming Wild Women Art Show.

DOROTHY

She hails from Kansas.
The wide open prairie with fields and fields of Sunflowers.
You know the saying, you can take the gal out of Kansas....
Happy Monday!
NOW
I want to smell the fresh spring air.

SWEEP FOR ME NO MORE

Just finished her.. #3 in a series...  Coming up with creative legs has been the most fun.. and most challenging part.  I perfer the skinny long legs.  Yesterday I went scouting for ideas.. and found these back scratchers
which are delightful for long legs.. even have notches in the feet for toes.  Interesting note:  on the back of this old license plate.. a 1951 Indiana plate the following is written in pencil:
Luther Cadwell
Rushville, Indiana
off his 1931 Model T Ford
I wonder what Luther would think of if he could see his license plate now!!!
One of those quirky thoughts that go through my head when I up using old objects in my art.
NOW
to work.
