Open my eyes

A snowy morning and I am nested in my studio. Worked on some art this morning at home and later driving into today thought about how uninspired I am during the winter months. I truly feel more plugged in during the warmer greener months. So I tried to switch my auto pilot of gloom and shivers of winter, and simply open my eyes with a new perspective. Look for positive sights that will encourage me to develop creative ideas. The sun was dazzling bright bouncing off Sopris - certainly a bright spot to focus on. As I headed towards my studio I could see it was snowing and focused on the small flakes whisking past my car. More snow at my studio this morning then at home.
Am going to try to scan and post my little art doodle I did this morning which I am going to attempt to do on a regular basis.
Also opened my om horoscope and saw it was spot on for keeping eyes open to bring ideas into view. Love serendipity-ness And then signed up for a 8 week course on overcoming self sabotage. It was offered through Daily Om and advertised for 39.95 or you had the option to pay what you could afford, or pay 0. I opted to not pay as I am burrowing out from a slow month. If I can afford to pay later, I will.
but am excited to tap into this course. Will keep a progress report here.
It just fits into my new year resolutions.. lose weight, get healthy, and eat better. So I will work on the head stuff too! This is coming in line with the art piece I did over the holiday span.
I did a piece I called Patterns. It bubbled up as I was working on this piece: how easily I allow
myself to immerse into patterns, mostly the unhealthy ones. It's a powerful piece for me and I in fact am going to submit it for the EnVision students that Sheri is highlighting in her book.
Whether it ends up in the book or not, I am truly honored that Sheri envited me. But more important for me, it's my light switch that I have activated to working on SELF>
ta for now
